Visit these websites to check into additionally needed financial helps for attending Heartland Christian School:

1.  www.floridapride.org -- Florida Pride scholarships are available for children entering Kindergarten or 1st grade regardless of previous school attendance (public or private).  Students in grades 2nd-12th must have been enrolled in a Florida public school the previous year.  Also based on household income.  Visit this website to see if you qualify -- 2007-2008 scholarships were $3,750 per student.  Once on the website, follow these links:  Go to Parents, then income eligibility chart and Step Up Students Scholarship Application.  Use school code 1350.

2.  www.floridaschoolchoice.org -- This website leads to the McKay Scholarship, helping students who are in need of additional educational helps.  Students must have been enrolled in a public school the year before, and also must have an IEP (Individual Education Plan) on file from the public school.  HCS services students with some reading and math difficulties, but does not offer a full-fledged ESE program.  Once on the website, follow these links:  Go to McKay Scholarships, then links for parents; under this go to eligibility and/or apply for McKay Scholarship.  Use school code 1350

3.  www.ffna1.com -- The Family Financial Needs Assessment program helps families determine how much tuition can be realistically afforded by your family -- HCS will receive the final summary report (only seen by the finance chairman of the school board) and then tuition can be set/modified accordingly.  Understand that HCS has no supplemental or secondary fund to replenish this scholarship -- although that is a future goal.

4.  HCS tuition credit for student referral --  In June 2008, the HCS School Board approved a program to allow families who have been in attendance for 1 year at HCS the opportunity to receive a $100 tuition credit for every family referred and then enrolled at HCS for the following year.  Current HCS families will recieve this credit after a new family makes their first tuition payment, and current families can receive this credit up to a maximum of 5 times for the upcoming 08-09 school year.  Advertise the school, and be blessed with up to $500 in tuition relief today!  Call the front office to and speak with Mr. Kaser for additional details.
