HCS hosts the annual Prayer Luncheon for Highlands County leaders on campus yearly on National Day of Prayer.  Mayor Hensley of Sebring was the featured speaker for the 2009 event.

HCS focuses on reminding our community leaders during this day that they are important to our welfare as a community.  Our government leaders' efforts are very much appreciated.  It is the privilege of Heartland Christian to hold this luncheon and to bless those serving in various leadership capacities around Highlands County, including the cities of Avon Park, Lake Placid and Sebring.
