1. www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org -- The Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) Program is a need-based grant program available to degree-seeking, resident, undergraduate students who demonstrate substantial financial need and are enrolled in participating postsecondary institutions. ALL DETAILS are at this link; the average grant for 07-08 ranged from $200 to $1,808.
2. www.gladesec.com-- This scholarship opportunity is for students with permament addresses being served by the Glades Electrical Co-op. Click on member services and download the application ($1,000 estimated).
3. Shepherds for the Savior -- This organization from Texas allows graduating 09-10 students the opportunity to apply or scholarships up to $1,000. Access the following forms below:

4. Legion Foundation -- This private foundation allows graduating students the opportunity to apply for grants, payable directly to the collegiate institution the student will be attending. Applications are on file in the front office and accesible through the 4 GIF links below -- and must be mailed/submitted by the June 30th BEFORE the 1st semester of college attendance for consideration.

5. www.wendysheisman.com-- Wendy's offers scholarships in varying financial award steps to 100 graduating Seniors -- typically, applications are due by October 1st each fall. Criteria for eligibility are listed on the website.
6. https://www.coca-colascholars.org/cokeWeb/servlet/UserValidateController?programId=1&actionPage=programs -- Coca-Cola offers graduating Seniors the following opportunity:
- Awards 50 four-year $20,000 scholarships and 200 four-year $10,000 scholarships for use at accredited colleges and universities within the US.
- Rewards leadership and excellence as exemplified through academic achievement and extracurricular activities, including commitment to community service.
- Available beginning in August as an electronic application.
- Applications must be submitted by October 31 of the senior year to qualify.
7. http://walmartstores.com/CommunityGiving/235.aspx -- More than 8,000 students will get help paying for --college with scholarships from the Wal-Mart Foundation. Check out this website beginning in November 2009 for scholarship consideration in the fall of 2009.
8. www.kfcscholars.org -- Kentucky Fried Chicken sponsors a scholarship program, potentially worth $5,000 a year for 4 years to pay for tuition, fees, books and room/board. The online application is available from December 1st, 2009 through February 10th, 2010. Preliminary review of applications takes place in March, then selected students are asked to further the process when semi-finalists are chosen. (added Oct 2008)
9. Harvard University -- FREE TUITION for LOW INCOME FAMILIES -- Announced that undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. In making the announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said, "When only ten percent of the students in elite higher education come from families in the lower half of the income distribution, we are not doing enough. We are not doing enough in bringing elite higher education to the lower half of the income distribution."
If you know of a family earning less than $60,000 a year with an honor student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the tuition. The prestigious university recently announced that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families can go to Harvard for free… no tuition and no student loans!

10. Riverside National Bank -- Riverside offers $1,000 scholarships for up to 18 students from around Florida every year. Students are selected based on academic goals, community service and essays about why scholarship assistance is needed. Students going to a 2 or 4 year program may apply. Monies can be used in any way by the student to help offset the expense of a college education. Application and rules are posted at www.riversidenb.com. The next deadline is projected to be May 31, 2010.
11. EAA Chapter 1240 -- www.eaa1240.org. The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) offers $1,000 scholarships annually to 2 students who have a need and are worthy of financial assistance, have good grades and excellent potential for success in their future education, have good moral and ethical character and have an interest in an aviation-related career. Scholarships are typically not rewarded until a student is enrolled in a higher educational program. Applications are due this year by April 16, 2010.
