November 10, 2008 meeting highlights
92 people were in attendance (62 adults, 30 children). Mrs. Waters 5th grade class won a pizza party for having the most parents in attendance! Items discussed in the meeting included Book and Burger Night, SCRIP, canned food drive, Christmas Store, Red Wheel Pie Sale, chorus dates, Pre-School Christmas program and the Sebring Christmas Parade Float.
A reminder was given that for PTF to be fully aware and able to participate in activities, a 2 week notice is always helpful for the best planning and event results possible.
Reminders for all HCS families: There will be NO December PTF meeting (was scheduled for the 8th -- CANCELLED); instead, the PTF will host a holiday dessert party after the school Christmas program on Thursday, December 11th. Families are asked to bring a dessert to share, as PTF will provide beverages and paper goods.
Also, Christmas float work continues on Saturday November 15th and 22nd, beginning at 9:30 am both days at the Fassler home on Weigle Avenue (call the front office for directions). All HCS students are invited to walk alongside the float during the parade, which is Friday, December 5th (wear HCS field trip shirts and Santa hats).
October 13, 2008 meeting highlights
The first PTF meeting of the year was attended by 110 people (75 adults and 35 children)! The focus of meeting #1 was to give all in attendance an idea of what PTF is about and to encourage everyone to be a working part of the HCS family as we seek to continue in the mission of Christian Education.
