Shannon Cleveland, Athletic Director; MS Health, Math and Study Skills; HS American Sign Language

Personal Statement "I first got involved at HCS coaching volleyball -- I've always had a heart for kids and a great love for volleyball.  Another door was opened when I was offered the MS/HS PE coaching position, which was literally an answer to prayer.  I had been asking God for His direction in my life and that seemed like an obvious answer!  Because of accepting the position I have decided it's time to finish my degree and pursue a career in teaching and education.  Thank you for all the opportunities I have been given here at HCS -- I am truly blessed!"

HCS SCHOOL NOTE:  Coach Cleveland won the 2008-2009 "Coach of the Year" award from the News Sun.

Favorite Songs:  "Unchained Melody" and "O, Holy Night"

Favorite Verse: "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might." Ephesians 6:10 (NASB)

Harold Graves, HS History Electives and MS Current Events

Student Quote " Mr. Graves showed me how to get respect -- you have to earn it!!" -- "He has such a vast resource of knowledge to offer students and he is always happy to share it."

Personal Statement "I enjoy the atmosphere at HCS.  God has led me here at this time of my life to do what little I can to encourage and enhance some students lives and careers.  Don't be afraid to fail in life -- a baseball player becomes a Hall of Fame player by hitting only 3 of every 10 pitches, and you can become a Hall of fame individual."

Personal Statement "I was born in New York and accepted Christ at the age of 6.  Through a series of events, the Lord took me to Panama City where I met my wife, then to Miami and (eventually) on to HCS."

Most Memorable Educational Moment:  When a former student stopped me near a friends house to thank me for teaching her.  She also apologized for acting up during class.
