Our focus daily here at Heartland Christian School is to minister to your children's heart, mind, body and soul.  We strive for the highest degree of educational excellence.  Standardized testing given yearly to all HCS students(Stanford Achievement Series for grades K5 through 11th) shows that 90%+ of our students are performing at or above grade level.  We live in a generation that struggles with allowing its children to experience failure.  At HCS, we challenge every student to reach beyond what they believe is possible, and pray that the families who partner with us will employ the faith it takes to allow God to have His way in shaping each student for a purposeful future.  I would much rather have the practice more difficult than the actual game -- I hope you understand my point here, and I make no apologies for wanting God's very best in our students lives.

Every day we start as a school family with pledges, prayer, devotions -- and sometimes something extra fun just to reinforce the fact that we are all in this together -- administration, faculty and staff, students and parents.  We need each other, but we definitely need the Lord above all else to make each day the best it can be for those whom we care for educationally.  We strive to glorify God in all we say and do.  Having been around the United States at different schools over the past few years, what encourages me about Heartland Christian School is the desire by our school family to be just that -- a family. 

We are accredited by ACSI through 2013.  We have space to partner with 200 students and their families in grades K4-12th annually, and it is a privilege (and becoming a competition) to get into HCS.  I see students learning to practice servant-leadership on a daily basis.  I witness teachers sharing excellence in the classroom academically, while also placing value on developing personal relationships with every student under their care.  I pray daily that the Lord will use everyone and every experience to further His Kingdom and to allow HCS to impact the community and surrounding Highlands County region for years to come.
